FORD FOCUS HISTORY
The Ford Focus has been manufactured by Ford since 1997. It was introduced to replace the Ford Escort and, like its predecessor, became the UK's best selling car. The Focus set new standards of build quality and driving ability in its class when it was first launched. The original Focus was Ford's first in the line of "new edge" vehicles - cars which featured modern, angular lines.
The new Focus, introduced early in 2005, improved the car's already-excellent driving experience. It is Stiffer-bodied, has a longer wheelbase and is wider than the outgoing model, the rear legroom, luggage space and ride quality were also all improved.

FORD FOCUS TYPES
The Ford Focus is available as a hatchback (three or five-door) an estate, a four-door saloon or a folding metal roofed coupe-cabriolet. There are more than ten versions in all - from the sporty ST to the green biofuel-powered FFV models, the drop top Focus CC and the Focus-based C-Max MPV. Today's Focus brands include the Studio, Style, ECOnetic, Zetec, Titanium and ST.
